4 TEAM ACCA - Saturday 1st Dec 2012

4 Team Acca:
Under normal circumstances my 4 fold accas will contain one match from each of the top 4 divisions in England. But this isn't a normal week. Its FA CUP 2nd round week. So I will be concentrating on the Premiership and the Championship.

First off the Premiership:
We could all pick the easy options like United, City or Chelsea but why pick a short priced team when Chelsea proved on Wednesday that they are about as reliable for your acca as backing a 3 legged horse in the National. On closer inspection of the fixtures in the Premiership there is one match that really interests me, West Brom v Stoke at the Hawthorns. West Brom lost away to Swansea on Wednesday and Stoke had a comeback win against Newcastle at home but in this game Stoke are NOT at home and West Brom are NOT away . West Brom have the joint 2nd best HOME record this season (only behind Man City, and joint with Man Utd) 6 wins and 1 loss which included a 2-1 win over Chelsea. Stoke, however, are one of 5 teams who are yet to win on the road (4 draws and 3 losses). This makes me think the 11/10 offered by Boyle Sports is a great price for West Brom.

QPR haven't had the best season so far (understatement of the year). With 0 wins from 14 games things are looking bleak at Loftus Road. But 'Arry is in charge now so maybe things will pick up. No team that 'Arry has ever managed has won any of its first 3 away games, so i would discount Wednesdays away day at the Stadium of Light, but QPR are at home against Villa (who have a shocking away form this season) this week. QPR have been unlucky on some occasions this season. They pushed Arsenal all the way at the Emirates in October and only dropped points against Everton to an OG off their keeper. Villa on the other hand have been atrocious away from home only managing 3 goals in 7 games and lost 5-0 to City on their last trip away from Villa Park. QPR look good value at 20/21 with Boyle Sports to get their first win of the season.

Championship:
Leicester v Derby is the match from the Championship at 17.20 this Saturday. Normally I wont go for a late kick off because there is nothing worse then having your bet up waiting on an evening kick off and they let you down but this one seems good to me. Leicester have had a mixed bag of results in the last few weeks (2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses in the last 6) but the losses they have suffered in their last have come away from home and they have only played 2 at home in the last 6 (6-0 win v Ipswich and 2-2 draw v Nottm Forest). Derby have seen their fixtures go completely opposite to Leicester (4 home games and 2 away) and they have lost the 2 away. One loss against Palace was 3-0 and the other was a loss against Milwall (2-1) they have also lost 5 of their 9 away matches this season. So Leicester seem to be a good thing at 4/6 with Boyle Sports for the win.

Watford v Barnsley seems an interesting match on Saturday. Watford have been free scoring of late with 16 goals and 4 wins from their last 6 matches. Barnsley however have only kept ONE clean sheet all season and you would have to go back to September 1st to see that. So one thing is for certain, there will be goals in this match. Watford last 6 have seen 4 wins and 2 draws while Barnsley have seen 4 losses and 2 draws in their last 6. This leads me to believe the 7/10 offered by Boyle Sports is great value for a Watford win.
